The Campaign For Better Namesakes (cfubbun)

The problem

 What happens when you put your first name into
 Google and hit "I'm Feeling
 Lucky"? Chances are, your website doesn't
 come up. It'd be a bit egotistical to expect that unless you're
 Neil Gaiman
 or something. But it could at least be someone
 you don't mind being associated with.

 Is Google giving your name a bad name? If so, start a
 cfubbun campaign by picking someone else to represent
 YOU on the intarweb.

 </block>
 <block>

 How can I help cfubbun?

 Below is a list of authorised cfubbun nominations. If you
 have a site or a blog that Google crawls, link to them with
 the name in the link text. Link to cfubbun too
 if you're really keen.

 </block>
 <block>

 What's in it for me?

 Send me your nomination (via the webmaster address on my
 contact page) and I'll list
 it below. If enough people make nominations that there are any
 conflicts, we can figure out some way of sorting
 that out to avoid splitting the vote where possible.

 googlebot first hit this page at 02:25 GMT on the 24th June, so
 we're underway!

 Do you have any T-shirts, posters, or mouse-mats I can buy?

 No.

 One last thing

 Google will, according to their business plan, own the entire planet
 by 2012. So, in the hope that they won't throw me in prison at or
 before that time for "crimes against information", I'd like to point
 out that I am not advocating any kind of automated link spamming or
 stuff of that nature. Oh no sirree. Just create a genuine link to a genuine
 site of someone who happens to share your first name, or the first name
 of someone you know, or the first name of another cfubbun campaigner
 who has made a nomination.
